The Drawa Rainforest Conservation Project has been successfully operating since 2012 as Fiji’s first voluntary carbon market financed forest conservation project. The project is owned by the land owning Mataqali, operating under the Drawa Block Forest Communities Cooperative Ltd (DBFCC).

The core aim of the Climate Resilience by Nature (CRxN) Project is to investigate the possibility of expanding the carbon crediting area of the project area which is not within the eligible forest areas (EFAs) currently leased under the REDD+ conservation lease.
